POSITION SUMMARY

The Distribution Center Human Resources Specialist provides a full range of administrative support to the Distribution Center Manager, as it relates to time card administration, bonus monitoring and processing, piece rate calculations and submission, and time-off coordination. Front facing Employee Relations, responding to employee inquiries, maintaining corporate policies, employee staffing and active recruiting and screening of potential candidates and candidate pool. Ensures compliance with new hire on-boarding (training, paperwork, etc.), Fork Lift training, DOT and Safety compliance. This position will report equally to the Human Resources Manager as it relates to all things HR.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

One to two (1 - 2) years' experience in a warehouse environment. A High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Be able to read, write and speak English, with basic mathematical skills. Must have the ability to reason logically, use common sense, and resolve issues independently. Forklift certified preferred.The physical demands of this position require waling, standing, sitting, hearing, seeing, moving, driving, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. The work environment is typical of a warehouse, with forklifts moving, trucks being loaded and unloaded, using propane and electricity, with a strong smell of tires. The environment has uncontrolled air.
